Our Story
Mark and I have a special passion for children and teens on the fringes of our community. Displaced kids aged 18-21 often have very little access to safe housing. Married later in life, Mark and I knew we would not have our own children. In the past three years, we’ve had 5 different young men aged 18-22 live with us for various stages of getting launched into their life. They’ve had no solid father available or relationship to guide them. We’ve loved navigating speeding tickets, dating questions, listening and encouraging them to dream, budgeting etc. Currently we have a little family living with us so we have a 2 year old and a 5 month old along with their amazing parents in our home. For this next year—it will be fun to see who comes to stay!

We work hard so we can engage more with our city and where we live. For every closing we have, we give back to local non profits that impact kids and vulnerable adults in our cities and one international non-profit making a huge impact in Africa!
