When I hear the word ‘vegan’, I pause………….for some reason, dry, flat, bland, lack of flavor comes to mind.B I never thought incredible, tasty, would-it-be-‘bad’-if-I-had-two….would be my experience. Dovetail Bakery is on Alberta &B 30th! My favorite so far? The lemon blueberry scones. And the fresh pecan rolls just out of the oven. And the Meyer lemon muffins. Sigh.B Coffee–?? Amazing. Big pitchers of french press—and if it’s been more than a few minutes or if no one else is in the bakery, they wait until after you order and brew a fresh press!B B Watch Morgan–the owner in the video below as she shows us how they make their coffee!
One of the great things about a real local bakery–is that you can purchase their products at other local stores too—find them at Cellar Door, Ethos Cafe, 3 local co-ops, Grendel’s, Half and Half, Little Red Bike Cafe, RedB & Black Cafe, The Acorn, Three Friends, two Whole Foods and three New Seasons markets! It’s such a cool thing about our part of the country–such a wonderful way in which small local businesses are partnering with larger local biz.
FindB the Dovetail BakeryB on Facebook and Twitter! For those with food allergies, they do offer several items that are gluten free as well!B My only coffee caveat—as it’s 100%vegan…I bring my own cream.
