Extracto Coffee House & Roastery “Small Batch, Hand Crafted” on NE Killingsworth is aB laid back, ‘walk down the street to get your morning cup ofB joe’B neighborhoodB hot spot in the Alberta Arts area.B Baristas Deanne & Kelly were amazingly gracious–totally whipped up an incredible cappuccino for me–(see above) and offered to show me how they do latte art…I need to learn how to do this!B B B And kudo’s to Extracto for roasting their own beans. Seriously–every Monday and Thursday the roaster is on task.B I need to adjust my dream home plans to accomodate a like-roaster into my dream kitchen….(along with wood oven for pizza and bread….)…

The line of customers from the counter to the door was non stop for the 90-minutes I was here. Patrons came in with their laptops, good books, family and friends and because they are just set back from the street–there was plenty of room for patio seating…and with the weather we’ve been having–it’s perfect for outdoor cafe-ing.B I continue to be amazed with and thoroughly enjoyB watching these incredible small business owners start with their ideaB andB throughB incredible tenacity–seeB it become successful.B ECH just opened up their second location on 14th & Prescott–stroll on into either location next time you are in the neighborhood–you won’t be disappointed.
