Q4 2010 Sales vs. First Five Months of 2011
For Core Northeast Portland Neighborhoods Including:
The eight month streak from October of 2010 through to May of this year shows a consistent plodding of sales. This is good. Inner core NE Portland houses the 5 hottest neighborhoods in town. If you list it, and it’s done well…they will come. So to see completed sales in step with Q4 of last year is good. Obviously home values is a different story. But if values drop and sales drop, then we’re in a different world.B B First time home buyer credit expired last year and homes had to close by June 30th. Starting July this year, we’ll be able to look apples to apples and see what really is driving today’s market.
