B B Woodlawn Triangle finally gets it’s own Coffee Spot!B
Gretchen Glatte & Matthew Busetto established themselves at Matthew’s restaurant FirehouseB using fantastic locally supplied produce and garden harvested herbs to create a wonderful dining experience in NE Portland. Proudly creating fresh breads, pastas, pastries and desserts made on site daily and Gretchen’s love of baking…..B it makes sense that they would join business hands again and createB Woodlawn CoffeeB & PastryB just across the street! Finally! A great coffee spot right in the middle of the Woodlawn Triangle action!
Featuring Stumptown Roasters & Tao of Tea, Gretchen is a big part of what makes her coffee shop a comfortable space where locals pop inB for a minute or stay for an hour. It definitely has a cozy old-fashioned feeling combined with plenty of electrical outlets for laptops!B Originally hoping to open a pie shop, Gretchen just couldn’t pare down all the great baking options.B From fruit upside down cakes (today it was peach gingerbread and fully worthy of your time and attention), to buckwheat gateau breton (european shortbread), to hazelnut-currant Schnecken, muffins and pie, Gretchen isB sure to have something right up your alley.
